Twitter Lite

Twitter Lite works as a faster way to browse along with the data-saving version of the original app. The Liter version still offers push notifications, and the ability to bookmark tweets and thread conversations.

The app size has been reduced to 3MB only similar to Facebook Lite and has a data saver mode. Once enabled will not AutoPlay videos and pics will be loaded in lower quality in the posts.

If you want to see images of higher quality, you can tap on the top menu and pick “Load High Quality” to change the settings. After this is done the data saver mode will be turned off and you will see all the content in good quality. Twitter lite is better suited for low-end devices because it will take minimum space with faster browsing.

Browsing on Twitter Lite

The Liter version of Twitter also includes a change to make it easier to manage who’s in your group chats. Along with VoiceOver improvements in polls, and better labels for Twitter ads. You will be missing a night mode in the lite version and there will be no drafts. Twitter Lite also does not include the ability to scan QR codes which makes sense.

With this version, you will not be enjoying any GIFs because it does not include the GIF button. The development team has made maximum effort to keep the app size to a minimum and that’s one of the reasons. On Twitter for Android, there is a feature called Connect.

Where you get to discover new people who you can follow. But On Twitter Lite, you will find the old Who to Follow setting which was the old implementation.
