The controls have been kept minimal because this game was initially launched on Nintendo Switch. On each expedition, your team of three Pokemon moves about the fully 3D stage, fighting waves of wild Pokemon and bosses. You control when each Pokemon unleashes their abilities.

Players collect items that allow them to bump up the powers and abilities of Pokemon. While also collecting ingredients with which to cook. You toss ingredients into a pot that then heats up over time – either over the course of several of your battles.
